The plant’s history started on July 1st, 1939 when workshop No. 1 was set up, producing hydrogen cyanide. In autumn of 1940 our company set up the first experimental unit for methyl methacrylate (MMA) production as well as a minor production sector for its reprocessing into acrylic glass.

Today JSC “DOS” is one of the most successful chemical enterprises in Russia. It manufactures more than 80 chemical products, some of which are unique both in Russia and abroad. Currently DOS public corporation is a major Russian producer of a wide range of top quality methacrylic monomers and copolymers, among them cast and extrusion acrylic glass, aviation glass and granulated polymethylmethacrylate. In addition, the company produces ammonium sulfate mineral fertilizer.

DOS products meet ISO 9000 quality standards; they are well known on the market and have diverse areas of application.

DOS products are widely used in crude oil extraction and processing, in manufacturing of cars, airplanes, ships, computers, apparatuses, electronics, fibers and resins, lacquers and paints, fabrics and carpets, medicines and cosmetics, furniture and household goods, in the construction and interior finishing of living quarters and offices and in outdoor advertising.

Due to the continuous inculcation of new technologies and improvement of production facilities the company enjoys sustainable development and its products remain highly competitive.
